Notre Dame adds strength up front with a key transfer on the defensive line.

Former Pittsburgh defensive lineman Francis Brewu has committed to Notre Dame through the transfer portal. Brewu started every game last season for the Panthers, finishing with 36 tackles, six tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. The 6-foot-2, 280-pound interior lineman is expected to add immediate depth and physicality to Notre Dame’s defensive front. Brewu played two seasons at Pitt after a standout high school career in Ohio. Len Clark, Network Indiana.
