Joining me today is a man that I call and explorer of life. Pre-college, he was primarily interested in sports as they were something he excelled at which enabled him to "fit-in" despite always feeling a bit different. In college, he changed majors to psychology to seek a deeper understanding of who he was, why he felt and thought the way he did, and to seek a better understanding of why people operate and behave in the ways that they do. After college and some time working in mental and behavioral health, he experienced a deep depression, requiring hospitalization, which radically altered his perception of both himself and the world. Turning towards consciousness studies and the perennial philosophy as taught by the many wisdom traditions of the ages, he came to the study and practice of Yoga and since then has become a new person entrenched in the pursuit of Self-realization. Drawing from an eclectic variety of teachings, he continuously surrenders to all aspects of life as his guru while he continues to grow and evolve towards his optimal state of being. Please welcome the Inquisitive and insightful Jesse Russell.
