I have been thinking about this episode for the past three months, trying to decide what would be impactful to share about my journey of turning 50 years old.

 

I have been celebrating outwardly. Hopefully, you've seen some of my fun Instagram reels of me dancing and celebrating and being silly because I sincerely and truthfully have loved turning 50 and the process that has brought me here.

I will also say the parts of me that I have not been so public about are some of my fears and some of the in-between decisions. I am baring a lot in this episode.  You are part of my community and I have been learning to relax into you knowing that you've got me.

 

I'm sharing a little bit about the darkness, the lightness and the messy middle.  The reviews on this podcast, the texts, the phone calls, and the IRL connections where you've checked in on me have filled my heart so completely full. I have a testimony to share with you.

 

In July of this year I had an all-out two-year-old temper tantrum on the floor in the middle of my office.

 
I was feeling quite overwhelmed with my workload and I didn't see a way out.  I felt like I traded the 8 -5 for the 24/7. I had no idea that building a business would take this much time and effort.  Ouch!

 

Well, a bigger, brighter opportunity opened up once I surrendered to my higher power and I share what happened next in this shorty episode.  I think it will make you smile!

Oh my goodness I am so excited that I get to share my friend with you:  Gemma Wilkinson, Transition and Transformation Coach at a Different Choice.

Gemma married her corporate know-how and experiences with her rage, for female oppression, to fuel women and their goals with judgment-free support, curiosity, and well-timed swear words.

Realizing that half of her life was spent prioritizing corporate agendas over herself, Gemma resigned both her life and her job to begin the work of reconnecting with herself. 

Gemma experienced the gift and heartache of supporting her biological father at the end of his life, multiple personal experiences with cancer, the death of her identity, and the child-like wonder of finding herself again.  I'm so grateful to be a witness along this journey.

Gemma is a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) with iPEC and an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the ICF.
