moving from an ethic of dominion toward a Gaian virtue of humility

An accidental omnibus in three parts:

This was recorded some time ago, in October 2020, as I wound up a previous project. It gives a sense of the basic motivations behind this new series.

A good routine in the morning is essential not just for a good day but also for a good life. Now matter how hectic it gets, I find a few seconds to recite my seven daily aspirations.

Exploring the definition of religion and my own spiritual path, including engaging and helping to shape the Gaian community, a “spiritual community of practice.” Gaians are those who recognize Gaia as a living being, which we are both part of and utterly dependent upon.

Gaia is constituted by innumerable interdependent actors — including humans like you and me. Her bliss is yours, and vice versa.

Gaianism is a devotional religious practice with Gaia at its center. That's my working definition. In this episode, I briefly relate what I know about the word "Gaianism," before I work through my working definition and unpack each of its components. At one point I make reference to the late great Bill Mollison, and I mispronounced his name. Sorry about that.
