Thanks to everyone who registered for the Nanny Connect Breakfast Event in Manhattan. Thanks for all of you that are so eager to support of social mission-a diaper drive to benefit women and children that urgently need them. I'm inspired bu your willingness to give.

We all have times when we feel discouraged. A job loss, loss of an important relationship and bereavement to name just a few, will cause us to feel defeated and sad. However, major depression is serious and can affect the quality of life for the individual, their friends and families. Although mood and mental disorders are seldom talked about for fear of being "labeled" we must continue to have an honest and open dialogue about these very important topics.

In this podcast I'm touching on the need to take advantage of training to improve skills. I'm also discussing the launch of my new children's book "The Duck Who Always Started a Fire" this May and my next book release scheduled for early fall titled "I'm a Girl With Two Dads ....and I love it Just That Way". Thank you for being there with me on this very exciting and humbling journey.

When we slow down and enjoy the simple things around us, we are often blessed with the deeper meaning of some aspects of life itself. Recognizing the power of the Great Divinity is humbling and reminds me of how minute we are in the grand scheme of things. Picture the highest heights and the vastness of the great oceans and then realize that all of this was fashioned by an energy that's greater than the mortal man.

Goals guide and direct behavior. Goal-setting is powerful if used effectively. In setting goals one must be motivated intrinsically, meaning that the goals must be your own desired visions and not those of others.

You have been asking me, "how do you stay motivated to working out?" . The simple and honest answer is that, I love to exercising and now understand the health benefits associated with exercising. Is it easy...NO!!!! Is developing a routine exercise plan possible...YES! It all starts with creating a short and then ultimately a long-term plan for your weight-loss and exercise regime.

We live in an individualistic society where everything seems to be about "I" . Because of the over- indulgence with one's feelings and desires often times we fail to realize that we are a part of a greater community. This over- indulgence and preoccupation with self leads to distorted realities, because we are oblivious to what's going on around us. Hey...we live in a great big world..if you are oblivious..you might ask.."what the heck is that?". WAKE UP!!

There's an important need to find out what one's true purpose really is. Often times the answer lies within and may require soul searching, recognizing the things that simply wake your spirit .
