Amed and his family endured the worst years of Saddam Hussein’s brutal rule and genocide against the Kurds. He and Gen Audino also talk about the days of Kurds allying with American troops to defeat Saddam Hussein, Al Qaeda in Iraq, and ISIS, as well as the Kurdish hopes for an independent state.
