Today’s passage will highlight different kinds of belief, from the initial shock and grief of the disciples to Mary Magdalene’s recognition of Jesus through His voice. It will emphasize that belief in the Resurrection is based on eyewitness accounts and evidence, like the empty tomb and grave clothes. The story will begin “while it was still dark,” symbolizing the confusion and death that surrounded the event.
