Welcome the last sermon in our series. So far, we’ve learned that when we focus on giants, we stumble but when we focus on God our giants tumble. Last week we established that whenever we face trouble, we must deal with rubble by allowing God to rebuild the rubble in our lives. Today we want to suggest that in order to fully face down your giants, you must see your position as a platform for God’s purposes. Did you know experts have identified 500 unique phobias? Phobia comes from the Greek word for fear and refers to a panic that is completely out of proportion to the perceived threat behind it. The nation of Israel had an intense phobia or fear called megalophobia: The fear of giants. Nearing the end of the interlude between the 6th and 7th trumpet judgments, John is told to measure God’s temple.
