Giving birth can be one of the most amazing experiences, until it isn't. A complicated birth or unexpected experience can lead to anxiety and sadness. For one mom at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, the situation couldn't have been more scary. After giving birth by c-section and additional complications, she was separated from her baby to get more specialized care in hopes of a speedy recovery. What she didn't expect were two nurses with McGyver-like skills and big hearts that gave her the support and encouragement to endure long enough to experience her first precious moments with her new baby since birth.
