On tonight’s program: Republicans take the whole enchilada across Florida in this week’s election, much to the chagrin and even despair of beleaguered Democrats; In fact, Florida’s Democratic leaders are still shaking their heads and mumbling: “Did anyone get the license number of that Republican truck that ran us over?; Even the area long considered the “bluest” in Florida will soon be represented in both the Florida Senate and the U.S. Congress by Republicans; Even though the election is over, Florida’s election laws remain. And at least one of these seems to be having an impact well beyond the state’s borders; New Yorkers know what rent control is. But, even as rent rates skyrocket in Florida, the idea of restricting rents in any way remains an alien concept; And a Hurricane called Nicole hit Florida yesterday, seemingly coming from out of nowhere.
