Since the fall of humanity there has been a longing in the hearts of all people to be reconnected with God. It’s a longing that remains until we are finally with him eternally. Scripture is full of the recorded longings of God’s people for the promised Messiah to finally arrive. Christmas represents the redemptive purposes of God and the answer to our longings found in Christ.
