Her work includes writing, directing, and filming impact-driven stories, specifically in the human interest, conservation, and character-led natural history educational entertainment genre. She has written, shot and directed short films and TV series focusing on human-wildlife coexistence and conflict, some of the most endangered species on earth, and presenter-led wildlife expeditions. Currently directing and presenting a series about backyard wildlife in Vancouver and two documentaries highlighting lesser-known species like rusty spotted cats and critically endangered freshwater turtles in India.

He is a recipient of the National film awards for his film Wild Karnataka and the Carl Zeiss Wildlife Conservation Award.

Concerned about the extinction of the species of WildCats, he passes down his knowledge and conservation measures. 

Sebastian Kennerknecht has been visually reporting wildlife and environmental issues around the world, with a specialty on wild cats in particular. He has created high-quality editorial images, time-lapse movies, and digital content that has been featured in and by renowned publications. He collaborates with field biologists to obtain photos of some of the world's rarest cats while simultaneously emphasising the challenges they face. Sebastian has photographed twenty-three of the forty species of wild felids in twenty-nine different countries while working for conservation organisations and magazines.

Now Boarding brings in 2023 with a  new meaningful series Wildlife in Focus! Episode 1 is a conversation with Jennifer Adler a conservation photographer and underwater photojournalist. Her work is informed by her scientific background, and she uses her imagery to communicate science and conservation. Stay tuned to know more about her journey through journalism and photography to communicate about the underlying environmental issues.

Jennifer has a degree in marine biology and a PhD in interdisciplinary ecology. She specialises in underwater photography and is a trained freediver and cave diver. 

An ongoing theme in her work is the connection between people and water in a changing climate. Her grant-funded and assignment work has taken her all over the world to document science and conservation for The Nature Conservancy, National Geographic, Huffington Post, Vox, and the International Women's Media Foundation. Jenny is a freelance photojournalist represented by National Geographic Image Collection. 

Our host Payal and Jennifer speak about the importance of underwater life and how it impacts our overall ecology.
