A defense company is not the first thing that comes to one’s mind when sustainability goals are being discussed. However, leading defense and security company Saab is showing that this industry certainly has a seat at the sustainability table, and it is setting the bar high. Saab has a mission of becoming climate neutral by 2050, and at the forefront of company’s sustainability efforts is Eva Axelsson. As a Head of Group Sustainability at Saab, Eva is leading climate task forces throughout the business chain - showing that it can be done.

 

We are honored to hear all about Saab’s sustainability strategy, its challenges and plans from someone who spent over 20 years working with sustainability on behalf of businesses, organizations and authorities. Over the years, Eva has developed organizations, people and methods to combine sustainability with good business in different industries. Prior to Saab, Eva has worked in a number of sustainability roles including Head of Sustainability at both Swedbank Robur and KPA Pension.
