Written to a deadline?
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would make it faster paced, more eventful, and above all I would supply an ending.
What could Julie Corbin have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not have lost interest in it following the single revelation and the single action scene.
What does Helen McAlpine bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?
She's a good reader, and brought the characters to life.
Good grief!
I wouldnt call this tense or a thriller. Most of it is about grief and how to deal with it.
Its well read and written, but you feel like youve been through the emotional wringer at times. Towards the end the pace picks up and the who dunnit answer is revealed.
An ok listen.
Interesting tale
I liked the slightly different aspect of narrative voice in this novel: The narrator recounting her story as though in conversation with her dead, beloved twin. Some of the characters and capers were a bit far - fetched but it was entertaining to tge end. A particularly strong reader helped to bring the story to life.
