  • 014 - Stand Still and See

Imagine you are right in the middle of a life-threatening event. Any decision you make, any move you make could mean the difference between life and death. Now, imagine if someone tells you that the key to your salvation is to stand still and see. Would that be annoying?

Well, Moses from the bible did exactly that and we explore why this instruction is such an important and applicable system for navigating tough moments. If you have any questions after listening to this or you would like to say hi, you can contact me on Instagram - @godswill_ezeonyeka

  • 013 - Yours is the glory

What if there is more to the concept of glory than meets the eye?

In the podcast, I discuss an interesting perspective on the very popular phenomenon of glory and how it could possibly be the key to societal transformation. From my personal opinions and experience, I engage you to see things differently and hopefully think differently. If you get any questions or what to say hi, you can drop a voice message or contact me on Instagram - @godswill_ezeonyeka

  • 012 - To what end

Every human can attest to the consistent desire for growth and development. This need never goes away regardless of how much or how little you accomplish and the question we are left with is, where does it end?

In the podcast, I discuss an alternative perspective. From my personal experience, I engage you to see things differently and grow purposefully. To grow or not to grow is definitely not the question. The matter at hand is to truly come to terms with finding for yourself an end that is worth all the trouble.

  • 011 - My mum talks about Harry and Meghan part 2 (An opinionated discussion)

My conversation with my mum lasted a bit too long so we have two episodes (well we all expected it! lol).

The good thing there is much to glean and I am happy you made it to the end of this discussion. Family relationships tend to be a hotspot for deep mental pain and there are different ways around it. Here are my mum's ideas about how to navigate these.

  • 009 - Millennials vs Gen Z (An opinionated discussion)

Battle of the generations - So what had happened was @moechivious shared a tweet that reads "Sure Gen Z know how to use the apps but Millenials OWN the apps." Now I have to admit that this was a tad bit shady but the hilariousness that followed on Twitter made this such an interesting topic to be serious about.

Thanks to Naomi we get to talk about fun stuff like this. Tell me what you think.

  • 008 - Women, careers and child bearing (An opinionated discussion)

So Naomi showed me a tweet that reads,

One of the most underrated advice for women who want to juggle both family and a great career (that I heard from Mary Erdoes of JPMorgan) is to marry early and have kids before 25. By 30 they're in school and you can still grow at work with less hindrance. According to her, starting with work first then having kids meant you took a mid-career hit when the kids arrive, making it harder to catch up. It sounded super counter-intuitive to me at the time but the more I think about it, the truer it appears.

And this podcast episode is my response to that tweet.

  • Dream (Spoken Word Poetry)

Some people may not know this about me but I love to do poetry and I always write to call for change. Because I believe in a future that is better than today. So as Nigeria clocks 60 years of independence I did this piece for her, for us.

We know what homes we come from. This used to be reason enough...

Reason enough to not eat every junk society provided us. Reason enough to not display the dirty linen of our kin in public. Reason enough to willingly give respect where it is due. Reason enough to represent our origins with results borne from diligence and excellence.

We know what homes we come from. This could be reason enough...

To forget the next big thing and tender to a legacy that will feed our children. To treat home like home, if we are ashamed of it then it is our responsibility to fix it. To restore the honour and values that gave us ground to grow.

We know what homes we come from. It is the bond that courses through our differences and makes us one. It is the love that makes strangers into brothers. It is the energy that we bring. It is Nigeria. It is us and we are it.

We know what homes we come from. May we build homes our children will not be ashamed of.

  • 006 - Identifying the New

To conquer the fear that stops us from new experiences opens up a very important question. If we can do anything, should we do everything? This episode answers that question by discussing concepts around purpose and offers a thought process for analyzing potential new experiences you might want to undertake.

To choose what, you must know why.
