NPC Tonight

Did we love the February 2021 Nintendo Direct? Hmm...let's meditate on that.

Join us as we review some of the highlights from the long anticipated Nintendo Direct showcase, discuss the extremely distasteful Six Days in Fallujah revival, and talk even more about Persona 5 Royal. Also, we do a guided meditation, laugh about early 2000's radio rock, and share our struggles with not having enough time to play all of the cool games out there.

Is Joy-Con drifting at all similar to Tokyo drifting? After a long work week, we are raring to make some jokes, make fun of each other, and talk about video games while doing it. In this episode we discuss our excitement for the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the struggles of Joy-Con drift, and what we've been playing (Cyberpunk 2077, Inside, Demon's Souls, Black Ops Cold War, and more).

Video games are cool and all, but how about that WandaVision? Coming off a slow week in games, we talk about the games we are playing, the premiere of WandaVision and a favorite band from Connor and Jordan's teenage years.

This week, we're discussing the news that Lucasfilm Games is back and making an Indiana Jones game, Star Wars games can be made by anyone again (like Ubisoft), and CDPR totally had no idea Cyberpunk was broken. We also update each other on what we're playing, and close out the show with our dream Star Wars game pitches. Oh, and Connor's band released a new song!

Wesley, Connor, and Jordan bring you up to speed on the persistently bad launch of 2020's most anticipated game while sharing their own thoughts on what's transpired, how it could affect the games industry in the future, and how Cyberpunk 2077 may still be a great game despite it all.

Other topics of discussion include Horizon: Zero Dawn, Dark Souls 3, and blast beats.

New consoles are here and we're playing them! Connor, Jordan, and Wesley get together (in person for the first time ever) to celebrate the release of the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X systems, as well as new games Astro's Playroom, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla.
