Even when you're really still you're often times still busy within. Most everyone lives by some sort of timeline. Be still. Let go and let God. We must stop with the television, cell phone, etc. These things take up our times with God. A sacrifice is often made because we don't want to give up those things.
A lot of our instruction requires us to be still. Check your "to do lists" and make sure that God is on it. At the top of the list should be, be still for God. One can't say that they don't have time to be still with God. There has always been 24 hours in the day. The problem is that stuff takes up that time and we are unwilling to remove the stuff and replace it with God. Make an effort to make time for God. Our schedules should have God in them and if they don't then what does that say?
It will fall apart if I'm not involved. This is false, God is in full control and without Him it would fall apart. We are replaceable. Look in a graveyard and you'll see it full replaced people. The things they once did someone else has picked it up and are continuing it.
Are we not like a person that's afraid of a bee? The devil comes around and we begin flailing around trying to stop him. All the while WE have no control over the devil by ourselves. God is the only one that can rid of of the devil and his pestering actions. We must put God first, be still.
We must all graduate from kindergarten when it comes to our spiritual lives. Get off the milk and start consuming solid foods. Prayer along is alright but you need more Jesus to truly live.
We must know Him, intimately, personally because He wants to hold us. God is asking us to stop and be still for just a moment so He can be close to us. Once you get to that place, hope grows as well as our faith.
