NSW SES Commissioner York is the first female to be in charge of any emergency service or policing agency in the history of NSW.

In the first few months of taking up the role she had to deal with the worst bushfires in Australian history, which were closely followed by major floods and then the pandemic that shut down the world. Definitely a year to remember.
