Denver, United States – Video recorded by X user Jacob Rosen shows nighttime tarmac activity involving United Airlines flight UA 2408 at Denver International Airport. The caption reads: “UA 2408 out of Denver tonight.”
The shaky handheld footage, filmed near the active ramp area, begins with a white airport security pickup truck parked on the concrete with red, blue, and white emergency lights flashing.
Ground crew in bright yellow high-visibility clothing and reflective gear stand nearby. Some hold tablets, while others direct activity on the tarmac.
An airport shuttle bus with colorful illuminated graphics passes through the scene.
The camera then pans to reveal a United Airlines aircraft taxiing along the illuminated taxiway. The narrow-body Airbus A321neo moves steadily past, with navigation lights glowing, engine fan spinning, and wingtip lights visible. The blue “UNITED” lettering stands out against the dark sky.
The clip ends with a close view of a yellow mobile passenger staircase positioned beside the aircraft, its steps lit by airport lighting.
The footage was recorded on the evening of April 19, 2026, as flight UA 2408 prepared for departure from Denver to Washington Dulles.
Passengers reported the flight was delayed for hours due to a “unique situation.”
One user wrote: “My husband is on United 2408 from Denver to Dulles and they were supposed to take off at 5:59 pm. They have not returned to the gate because of a ‘unique situation.'”
The same user added: “They are being told they cannot access the overhead bins and everyone has to get off to be re-screened on the tarmac. They can go to the bathroom one at a time. They cannot return to the gate until re-screened.”
Flight tracking data showed the aircraft was delayed for nearly four hours.
United Airlines confirmed that 200 passengers and seven crew members were evacuated due to a security concern.
“Prior to departure, United flight 2408 from Denver to Washington Dulles deplaned safely via airstairs due to a security concern,” the airline said.
“The aircraft was screened and cleared, and passengers are back at the gate where we have provided them with food and water. We will be getting them on their way to Dulles shortly.”
No injuries were reported.
