“so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him, He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” Hebrews 9:28
“Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” Romans 6:6
Jesus has already dealt with sin, in our experience, we’re getting to discover that the sin nature has been dealt with.
Sin wields its power through the law, but it’s for freedom that we have been set free that’s why maturity is of the life in the fellowship of the spirit and not just gifts. Sin is the enemy's throne; The Spirit shows us in our souls that sin has been defeated (the throne of sin has been overthrown). Our eye must move from experience to reality, that’s faith; we must believe first that we are righteous.
