I am a mother of 8 children and 35 grandchildren. I live in Alberta, Canada.     In 2006,  I earned a trip to the Dominican Republic.  I fell in love with the country. After going back on vacation, we learned of the huge income disparity between travelers and locals. We started helping and the rest is history.  I am the founder and Director of the Dominican Starfish Foundation. This was definitely an unexpected turn of events that has blessed my life and the life of thousands of others.  We are now working on the #200 home that we have raised money to help with there since 2013.

It's never too late to start something important.

Expect Miracles--they happen daily.  Focus on the good things.  You can get through the hard stuff.

We have taken hundreds of guests to the Dominican Republic with us.  We have shown them the sites, beyond the beach.  We have hosted families, business groups, medical and dental service groups, and more.  Many of our guests have commented that it was a vacation of a lifetime.

Everyone’s life is full of challenges, mine was too, but I got a break in my life. I could learn success principles and better my life. Now the main goal I have in my life is to share this information with others so that they can better their lives. When the foundation of your life is spirituality and success principles; you can achieve great heights of success by serving others, and helping others achieve their dreams and goals.

I didn’t go so far as to believe that my life should be sacrificed; however, I thought that whenever possible I should try to put other people first. Learn to say no. Unfortunately, I have been a people-pleaser which, early on in my career, put me at a disadvantage. I had put my personal needs on the backburner. I learned that a certain amount of "selfishness" is necessary for healthy personal boundaries. I have a right to personal boundaries. I need to take responsibility for how I allow others to treat me. I recognize that boundaries are filters that permit what is acceptable in life and what is not acceptable. My boundaries protect and define me. I need to set clear and decisive limits that others can respect.

We kill time. We save time. We rob and get robbed of time, we lose time, and we have all the time in the world. But no one of us is powerful enough to stop the march of time or slow it down. Being the master of your time means getting more done, staying energized, and doing more things you enjoy.

This episode will cover,

People want to do many things but then come up with an excuse; oh we don’t have time. But if you want it bad enough, sure you can create time. Everyone has 24hrs in a day, how you utilize those 24hrs makes all the difference. It is your business, though it is a small business right now, you are an entrepreneur and you have to make it happen.

When we got started on the business project; our mentors asked us, what do we do in the prime time? We said, what do we all do; watch TV? Then our mentors said, it is called the prime time for a reason, that is the time when people on the other side of the screen make real prime income. Then we realized, we were wasting our prime time giving them the prime income.

So, what's in it for you?

What is this question? The majority of people will say that; but very few, who have created assets for themselves and have money working for them, will just smile at this question and will say oh we figured this out long back.
