Bernie Godette, is an old student of my CNA/STNA class and he was a delight to have in class. What struck me about him was his laser- focused attentive attitude to not only the classroom studies but to basic nursing skills as well. He also exhibited leadership skills...who knows, maybe that’s because of his training in the army...thank you for your service Bernie and good luck in your career goals of becoming an RN!

In these series Nurse Amy will be talking on different barriers that challenge the CNA in the classroom and at the work place. One of these barriers are pre-conceived notions, ideas, value systems and others. These attitudes and or ideas are locked up in a luggage that the CNA logs around and that eventually impedes their growth and usefulness.
