Meet Joyce!! Dr. JMF, as she is known, has always known nursing would be her path and early on in her career that she would be a Nurse Practitioner- one of the early pioneers in California! She shares her incredible near-death experience at 35 which completely changed her life and transformed the way she saw patients. She suffered severe brain damage and amazingly recovered within 2 years and went back for her Masters in Nursing and and eventually became a professor of nursing. She then completed her doctorate with her research in Trauma Informed Care with a focus in building resilience and post-traumatic growth. She created a system and program called MetaHab to help others in this space. She has also written three books! Listen in for an amazing conversation and so many great tips!
