I just recently published a book in clinical research and it’s now available in amazon. The title is “Working in Clinical Research : A Beginner’s Guide for Research Nurses and Coordinators”. It is intended to equip beginning research staff with the knowledge of what to really expect in the job.

Resilience is important for nurses and health professionals. It enables one to bounce back through challenges. Clinical professional jobs face so many challenges and the nursing profession is also exposed to high stress situations. Learning to be resilient is key to these situations. In fact, to build resilience or knowing the strategies to develop this can be considered as a very important lesson in nursing life.

The information for covid-19 is fast changing and we must implement all the possible ways protecting ourselves while at the same time continue moving on with our lives. New normal as they say. It is important to educate oneself and also act as responsible citizens of the world.

In this podcast episode, I will talk about professional values in the workplace, why awareness of this is highly important, and on why this aspect has such a tremendous impact in your personal life and career in general.

Due to the current covid-19 pandemic going on in most parts of the world, a lot of the countries are currently on lockdown. It is important for us to follow government guidelines, stay at home but never forget to look at the positive side of things. Take care everyone!

Evidence Based Practice (EBP) is emphasised greatly in the world of healthcare. People associate this into basing ones practice from research evidence but EBP is really more broader than that. It is a combination of patient preference and clinical expertise on top of research evidence because there will always be gaps and areas that haven’t been studied this is where the other components come in. Nurses should however be vigilant on the sources they use for EBP making sure that it is reliable, legit, and consistent with aims of really using and applying the best available evidence.
