Her love of the North East of England started when she came to study Photography in 1998. (BA: Northumbria University & MA: Sunderland University)

That same year, the iconic Angel of the North was installed by Sir Antony Gormley, OBE. Little did she know how largely this art piece would feature in her work.

The North East quickly became her home and she fell in love with the people, landscape and the warm welcome.

Her tribute to her new found home was to start a business in 2012 which celebrates the iconic landmarks and locations of the North East and beyond.

Her first design for Newcastle was so well received that her company Powder Butterfly was born.
Over the years she has put her experience of working in the arts to good use to create 6 location themed collections including Durham, Farne Islands, Newcastle, London, York, Whitley Bay.

She prides herself on designing high quality British made products and where possible she works with local makers and manufacturers.

In addition to the retail side of her business Corinne has also worked with corporate clients, such as Newcastle University, to produce a range of bespoke corporate gifts and awards.

In his adventures, Bryn met Peter Meinken, heir of a historic distillery in Germany. Peter had a dream.
A drink created by his family distillery being served in Newcastle upon Tyne. Thus, House of Ruhr was born!

Tumi Sotire is a researcher in Health Economics, at Newcastle University.

Diagnosed at the age of four years old with Dyspraxia, Tumi is a Neurodiversity advocate, raising awareness of the intersectionality between race and neurodiversity.

Tumi's research includes an interest in how to leverage the global resources and capacity of the African diaspora to further improve the health outcomes and health systems on the African continent.
