Nutrition 201: Micronutrients

In todays episode I follow up Ep. 15 Nutrition 101 and break down what I believe to be the basics of Micronutrients.

- Micronutrients are defined as Vitamins and Minerals, vital to healthy development, disease prevention, and wellbeing.

  • Vitamins: are organic substances that are generally classified as either fat soluble or water soluble.
    • Fat-Soluble Vitamins are absorbed along with fats in the diet and are stored in the body's fatty tissue and in the Liver.

        • Water-soluble Vitamins are carried to the body's tissues but are not stored in the body.

          • Minerals: are elements in the earth and in food that our bodies need to develop and function normally.
              • Electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other bodily fluids that carry an electrical charge. 

              • Prebiotic Fiber = MetaMucil

                Probiotics = Trace Minerals

                Beef Organs = Trace Minerals

                Magnesium = Trace Minerals

                Electrolytes = Liquid IV & LMNT
