Nutty Bites Podcast

Simply Nailogical & Safiya Nygaard

Thank you so much for sticking around to the end of Dog Days of Podcasting. I close out this year with two of my favorite people to watch on YouTube. These two women are very fun of positivity, humor, and sometimes education. Give them a watch.

Welcome to dog days of podcasting for 2019, where podcasters from around the world do a podcast a day for the month of august. I'm excited about this year's crop of podcasters so I really suggest you listen to the main RSS feed.

YouTube Artists

For the last two days of Dog Days I'm going to veer away from traditional TV shows and Movies, and focus on some of the YouTube channels that I watch. Today I'm focusing mostly on Youtube Artists. I love watching people create because it calms me down but also inspires me to create myself.

TV Shows that Ended

2019 has a lot of TV shows that ended, so I used today's episode to remember them, and to reflect on their run.

Captain Marvel & Shazam

I loved both Captain Marvel and Shazam, and in this episode I explain to you why they both rock. It's not a competition, it's just a lot of geek love.

Bohemian Rhapsody

As a huge Queen fan, of course I saw Bohemian Rhapsody. While the story was very fictional and a lot of what happened in the movie didn't happen in reality that way, it was still wild to see the members of the band acted out as they were. It was wild.

The Shape of Water

The Shape of Water isn't a movie I have seen yet, but after listening to this episode, I really need to rectify that. Thanks so much to Crazy Joe and Christine from the MegaPodTastic podcast for highjacking the podcast. If you want to hear me take over their podcast, head on over to MegaPodTastic and listen to today's episode. Or you can listen to both on the dog days feed.

Invader Zim (TV Show & Movie)

Invader Zim is a TV show that I absolutely adored and it was canceled almost as soon as it aired. Just now they have released a movie, Enter the Florpus,  on Netflix with all of the same voice cast, writers, and everyone behind the original show. I am over the moon. It is just as good as I remember it, all the jokes, no false nostalgia, everything just fits. I am so happy this has come out and I feel like everyone needs to see this, and sing the doom song.

Doom Patrol

Doom Patrol is where DC puts all of the really weird characters. It really is a surreal existence that doesn't always make sense. I really dug this show and am glad that they made sure to get actors that could pull off the silliness without it coming off wrong. This show has heart and enough of that humor to keep you watching.

Nailed It!

I'm not sure if Nailed It! is a cooking show, a game show, or a reality show. What I do know is it is damned funny and I love it. Also, I forgot to mention just how amazing Nicole's outfits on the show are. I want to own just about every dress she wears.

Sweet/Vicious

Sweet/Vicious, sadly canceled after one season, but a really good watch. This is what we wish could happen, there is a cathartic feeling watching people who commit violent acts get their due, but because it is a TV show, we don't have to worry about the moral implication that would follow in the real world.
