Opening the show, Alex, Mike, and Zach answer some listener mail. Specifically, what does the future hold for Iwata if he is fired as president of Nintendo? After that, the boys discuss what they've been playing lately, including Pushmo, Epic Mickey 2, SteamWorld Dig, EarthBound, and NES Remix.

After that, Daan joins Scott to preview the first half of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Don't worry, there aren't any real spoilers here. Instead, Daan breaks down the differences between Returns and Tropical Freeze, illustrates how each of the Kongs is used in levels, and applauds the excellent music.

After that, everybody's favorite segment returns. Josh stumbles back into that abandoned studio to once again find Kim and Becky. The three of them do their thing and play yet another round of Name That Pokémon. Just remember, Josh is always right.

Each host has picked his three favorite games to appear on a Nintendo platform and one non-tendo game and, surprisingly, there isn't very much overlap. Super Mario 3D World, a Link Between Worlds, Pikmin 3, Luigi's Mansion; who picks them and where do they place? You'll just have to listen to find out! After the outro, Scott, Nicholas, and Amanda return for another Doctor Who bonus segment, centered this time around the Christmas special and Matt Smith's final episode. From plot holes to the future of Doctor Who, the gang leaves no stone unturned.

Kicking the show off, Alex joins Danny and Josh to discuss--no, not Pokémon--the future of the Wii U in light of last week's dismal sales numbers. The guys break down what's gone wrong and how they think things could be improved. Maybe just throw Pokémon at it?

Speaking of Pokémon, in the next segment, the wacky game show "Name That Pokémon" returns! The increasingly insane Josh guides Kim and Becky through another round, bending the rules as he goes and threatening bodily harm throughout. A great segment for the family!

After the outro, Scott, J.P. and Donald get together for a long overdue NHL segment. The group goes over the season so far before reviewing the first episode of HBO's 24/7: Road to the Winter Classic. Spoiler: it was kind of bad. Sad face.
