  • Episode 91: New Super Connectivity U
Thank you for your interest in downloading episode 91 of Connectivity! Before downloading, please first download the update for episode 90, then come back and try again.
Kicking off this week's show, Alex and Scott go in-depth with New Super Luigi U. Should you pick up the surprisingly challenging expansion pack? We think so! After that, conversation turns to other Nintendo franchises that could utilize DLC in the future. How about Pokémon microtransactions or new weekly Zelda dungeons?
In the second half of the show, Neal, Andy, and Nicholas break down the recent Game Gear releases on the 3DS Virtual Console. Which of as many as 13 Sonic games deserves your attention? Find out here!
As usual, you can send your listener mail to [email protected]. What's your dream DLC for a Nintendo series? Or do you dislike DLC in general? Let us know!

  • Episode 90: A Little More Didactic
E3 is over and we're back in action here on Connectivity. This week's episode is positively bursting with content, so prepare your damn ears.
Scott and Mike couldn't make it to E3, so in our first segment they drill Neal with all of their questions about the games on show this year. What was good? What was bad? Neal knows all, and spills his guts.
After that, Neal and Scott discuss Game and Wario. Spoiler: they don't like it, and would rather play Pokémon Snap.
In our last segment, Daan and Justin break down all the new Streetpass games that just came out in Japan and Europe. Sorry, America, you get to stare across the playground in jealously.
Hey, please send us some listener mail. I swear we'll answer it! You can send it in to [email protected]. And if you have a moment, please rate and review the show on iTunes.

  • Bonus Segment: NHL Stanley Cup Final
Hey hey. There isn't a regular show this week with all the insanity that was E3, but Scott, JP, and Donald couldn't wait until next week to break down the Stanley Cup Final, so here is a Bonus Segment all on its lonesome.
If you are looking for gaming podcasts for your ears this weekend, though, be sure to check out the recordings live from L.A., as well as our own Nintendo Direct impressions and the return of Greg Leahy. We'll see you next week for our regular show!

  • Connectibite: E3 Nintendo Direct Reaction
After a bevy of buffering issues, Nintendo's E3 Direct came and went, and in its wake was no shortage of emotion, both positive and negative. Tonight, JP, Zach, Scott, and Patrick reflect on the Direct and do their best to approach the whole thing in a measured and thoughtful way.

  • Episode 89: Scooby Clue
You can smell it in the air, can't you? It's that special, magical time of year known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3). Maybe it's just the vapors, but we've gone overboard on Connectivity this week with a double-shot of E3 discussion for you on this week's show.
In our first segment, we look back into the past with a retrospective on E3 2003. Neal talks with Jonny and Mike, who were actually there, and their reminiscing reveals a surprising number of parallels to Nintendo today. Don't pee your pants.
After that, Neal sits down with Scott and Zach to make some predictions for what's going to happen at E3 2013. What's going to happen? It's anybody's guess, but you get to listen to ours.
We're in dire need of more listener mail, so please hit us up by sending to [email protected]. If you've got a moment, please also rate and review the show on iTunes.

  • Episode 88: Bells' Hook
Episode 88 of Connectivity is here, but we can't simply give it away for nothing. So while you enjoy this week's episode, be sure to run some errands around town for us. Also, buy stuff from us with the money we pay you.
Kicking the show off, Andy, Daan, and Justin sit down to talk about Animal Crossing: New Leaf. The trio discuss the new responsibilities of being mayor and where the series can go in the future. To hear the full segment, you'll need to go collect some seashells for us.
After that, we have our first ever round of NWR Jeopardy featuring three listeners! Scott and Zach host an epic match between listeners BJ, Daniel, and Chris, who fight tooth and nail for the crown of "best Connectivity listener." Zach is losing his touch, though, as there are zero questions about Primal Rage. Zero!
After the show, stick around for another NHL playoffs bonus segment, featuring Scott and Donald. The duo glosses over the boring Eastern Conference series and sink their teeth in to the much more compelling Western Conference.
That's it for this week. Be sure to send your listener mail to [email protected]. How about some predictions for E3? We'll read them next week when we preview the upcoming event. Until then!

  • Episode 87: Time and Space
Welcome to episode 87 of Connectivity, or as we are calling it, "Episode One." Hope there is no confusion with the actual episode one from two years ago, but this is the true "Episode One." Because it's the only "One" you'll need! That is, until it is obsolete and we move on to the next iteration. Then it is "One" for the dump or the back of your closet somewhere.
If you hadn't guessed, our main segment this week deals with the announcement of the Xbox One as well as last week's Nintendo Direct. Scott, Neal, and special guest Donald Theriault (from Nintendo Free Radio!) break down both events and look ahead to E3 and more dog gifs.
After that, we have two bonus segments for you. First up is the return of The Dr. Jonathan Metts' Crazy Fun Time Space Show! This week, in lieu of answering questions from you fine listeners, Dr. Metts has me take a quiz about rockets he wrote years ago for a sophomore college class he was teaching. If you'd like to play along at home and see just how much YOU know about rockets, the quiz can be found here: https://docs.google.com/a/nintendoworldreport.com/document/d/1zgiQeTPpWFNq0u5xqRSNih9y9U2uEchEcSlOl3t0Fi4/pub
Bonus segment number two is all about the season finale of Doctor Who. Patrick, Scott, Nicholas, and Amanda return to discuss the wacky Doctor's latest exploits and postulate about what the final few minutes mean for the future of Who. SPOILER WARNING!!! Also, be sure to check out Amanda's portfolio for plenty of excellent Doctor Who inspired art (http://supinternets.com) AND check out Nicholas' excellent Doctor Who shorts he recorded with some friends (http://youtu.be/xAyw4g0X98s). He's the best Doctor of them all.
That's it for this week! Send us your listener mail to [email protected]. What did you think about the Xbox One announcement? What it does it mean for the future of the Wii U? Tell us what you think! See you next week for Episode 88, or "Episode 2"!

  • Episode 86: Shall We Talk About Batman Now?
Listen up super friends, you're in for quite a show this week. This week on Connectivity we're talking all about super hero games. Neal, Justin, and Scott go in depth into the genre and discuss their favorite games starring men in tights.
After we're done talking super heroes, all you hockey fans can stay tuned for a bonus segment featuring Scott, JP, and Donald. They talk all about the NHL Playoffs. Who will win Lord Stanley's Cup? Well, we don't know yet but there are some pretty good educated guesses in here.
Don't forget to send your listener mail questions to us at [email protected]. And please also rate and review the show on iTunes.

  • Episode 85: Make Your Legs Shake
Gather 'round kids and let me tell you a story. This is a story about a little podcast called Connectivity. On this week's episode, we've got three segments for you. First up, Neal and 'Trick go over two newly released games, Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. How do they stack up to their counterparts, and are they worth your time? Listen up and find out!
In our second segment, Neal, Lauren, Scott, and Zach grade the Wii U after its first six months on the market. Something tells me somebody is getting a "see me after class" note to take home for their parents to sign.
Finally, we've got a bonus segment at the end of the episode focusing on the Playstation Vita.
Don't forget to send in your listener mail to [email protected]. And please rate and review the show on iTunes.

  • Episode 84: Reminds Me of Me
After last week's 3DS blowout and news-a-palooza, this week's episode is a little svelte.
Kicking things off, Scott, Mike and Patrick discuss the Rayman Legends Challenges App. The free download is meant to appease fans over the inexplicable delay of Rayman Legends. Does it do that job? Yeah, it kind of does!
After that, Scott, Zach and Neal dive deep into Injustice: Gods Among Us, the DC fighter from the people who brought you Mortal Kombat. The trio has much to say about the impressive array of game modes, the simple and intuitive combat, and more! Long story short, if you are a fighting game fan or a DC fan, Injustice is for you.
After the outro, stick around for a bonus segment all about the ongoing NHL playoffs with Scott, JP, and special guest Donald Theriault (who you may know as Shaymin). The crew breaks down each match-up, makes some tame predictions, and generally hates on the Canucks.
As always, you can send your listener mail to [email protected]; which you should totally do. Until next week!
