Quarterbacks (2)

Justin Fields, Tyrod Taylor: Despite Tyrod Taylor’s advanced age and lengthy injury history, the Jets roll the dice and keep just one backup quarterback on the roster.

Running Backs (5)

Breece Hall, Braelon Allen, Isaiah Davis, Kene Nwangwu, Andrew Beck (FB):  A deep and talented group, Hall is poised for a career season while Nwangwu will serve primarily as a kick returner.

Wide Receivers (6)

Garrett Wilson, Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith, Xavier Gipson: Not a very impressive group by any stretch of the imagination and keeping Gipson over Jamaal Pritchett came as somewhat of a surprise.

Tight Ends (3)

Mason Taylor, Jeremy Ruckert, Stone Smartt: Not a great group but one that should be significatly better than last season with the additions of Taylor and Smartt.

Offensive Line (10)

Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann, Alijah Vera-Tucker, Armand Membou, Chukwuma Okorafor, Max Mitchell, Xavier Newman, Josh Myers, Marquis Hayes.

The heartbeat of this football team, the O-line is going to be asked to do a whole lot of run blocking this season.  Marquis Hayes was the biggest surprise in the group.

Defensive Line (10)

Will McDonald, Quinnen Williams, Harrison Phillips, Jermaine Johnson, Michael Clemons, Jowon Briggs, Leonard Taylor III, Jay Tufele, Braedon McGregor, Tyler Baron.

The late additions of Phillips and Briggs should be significant upgrades against the run.  McGregor looked fantastic in the team’s final preseason game.

Linebackers (5)

Jamien Sherwood, Quincy Williams, Marcelino McCrary-Ball, Zaire Barnes, Kiko Mauigoa.

Barnes made a late push to stick on the roster and McCrary-Ball has earned high praise for much of training camp.

CB (5)

Sauce Gardner, Brandon Stephens, Michael Carter II, Azareye’h Thomas, Qwan’tez Stiggers.

A deep group of corners with plenty of talent right now and tons of potential in the future.

S (4)

Andre Cisco, Tony Adams, Isaiah Oliver, Malachi Moore

Cisco is one of our picks to break out on defense this season under Aaron Glenn and Malachi Moore could be a starter by season’s end.

ST (3)

Nick Folk (PK), Austin McNamara (P) and Thomas Hennessy (LS)

The Folk hero returns in hopes of fixing a shaky kicking situation.
