In Part 2 of episode 12 I'm joined by NYAPT President-Elect Marc Medina from the Farmingdale School District, and by Elizabeth Fox from the Johnson City School District.

I'll chat with Marc about his path to the NYAPT presidency and his vision for the Asssociation.

Elizabeth shares with us the journey she's been on which lead her back to the Johnson City School District as Director of Auxiliary Services. Elizabeth and her team at JC have been busy learning about and deploying an electric school bus.

Ep 12 will have mutiple parts and guests. In part 1 of episode 12 I'm joined by Lori-Ann Savino from the Jericho Union Free School District and Darren Everhart from the Palmyra - Macedon CSD. These two guests are icons in the industry and are just weeks away from wrapping up their careers in pupil transportation. We'll talk about accomplishments and the transition out of their careers.

Pete has been an icon in NYS pupil transportation and in NYAPT for as long I've been in the business. Pete is a wealth of knowledge, a great resource and a colorful charachter! In this episode we're joined by Transportation Supervisor Jerry Ordmandy from the Downsville CSD. Downsville is a 142 sq mi rural district located in the Catskill region of NY. Jerry shares his experience with the deployment of their first EV school bus in the Downsville CSD.

In episode 8 we talk about School Bus Safety Week and EV School Bus deployment wtih Dan Higbie. Dan is the General Manager of STA Mid-City Transit, which serves the Middletown City School District in New York State.

On this episode Dave Christopher and I extend our wishes for a safe and successful school opening to all of our members across NYS. We also chat about the bus driver shortage, electric school buses and the recent student fatality in Ohio.

In this episode we discuss the Top Transportation Teams Award for departments with fewer than 100 employees that Andrew received from TransFinder at the STN Expo in Reno this past July. We also discuss Andrews creative solutions to the bus driver shortage. Andrew is a relatively new transportation supervisor who shares some great ideas and strong leadership styles.
