After a week where all of Team Lee experienced varying states of overwhelm, it was pretty obvious what "O" should stand for.
Overwhelm is a state of being experienced by most of us more frequently than we'd care to admit. Especially in this time of #Covid, overwhelm is almost a default for too many people.
But even without that added pressure of a worldwide pandemic, overwhelm is par for the course for many people experiencing chronic health issues. In a society that values productivity to the level it does, having a chromic health condition that gets in the way of consistent productivity can definitely lead to overwhelm.
Even with support systems in place, overwhelm is real. In this episode, Dr Lee walks us through one of the key ways she deals with overwhelm and the foundational practice she teaches all of her clients: The EASE-E Method.
EASE-E stands for:
E - Emotional Activation
A - Awareness
S - Sensation
E - Evaluation
E - Execution
The beautiful thing about this method is that it doesn't just apply to overwhelm, but to any emotion (or sensational experience) that doesn't feel good.
