It's easy to get so lost in the debated requirements of Sabbath-keeping that we miss the core purpose of the day. The Sabbath was the icing on the cake of Creation. Even before sin entered our world, this day of rest was needed to foster a trust-based relationship with God.  As the Story unfolds we see the significance of the Sabbath expand to provide rest and restoration through the saving power of Jesus.
