Social media is often a showcase for pride- we hear people use the word proud every day. Pride was among man's first sin, it was behind the first murder, and it is something that must be set aside if a person even hopes to be saved. Here we look first at what Scripture says concerning pride, then we look at if there is any form of pride that is acceptable.

The purpose for Paul's writing was not that he didn't think they had wisdom or good leadership, but as Christ walked among the seven churches, there were reminders, rebukes and encouragements to give.

God is different from us, infinitely different, not just a better version of us. His promises have and always will come to pass. His promise to have one people, one church, one faith, one covenant of redemption joining both Jew and Gentile in Christ, was prophesied and promised in the Old Testament. It has, it is and will continue to be fulfilled.

How do we know that God is the God of patience and comfort- We know simply by reading the Old Testament. What amzing patience He showed, what comfort He gave through His promises and how theat Makes Him the God of hope for us.

In the Old Testament we have the patient and persevering unfolding of redemptive history. The Old Testament is 75- of the Bible, there must be a reason for that.
