For the month of September, we are focusing on the theme of prayer. There will be 2 episodes a week (Wednesday and Saturday). In this primer/intro, we begin to look at WHAT the Lord’s Prayer is and WHY we need it today.

In this episode we look at the actions and words of Jesus and ask how they’re speaking into HOW we view God and our relationship.

In this episode we unpack what Jesus meant when he used the image of a ‘yoke’ and how can his Way be an alternative choice.

In the final episode of the ‘Hebrew Bible’, we explore the wisdom literature of Proverbs. Looking at the difference between belief and trust. Looking at the book’s two options of either shutting down or jumping in.

In this episode we focus on probably THE most famous king in all of the Hebrew Bible. Asking how can the life/patterns of David point back into Israel’s history, forwards into Israel’s future, and speak in to our lives today.

In this episode we explore all the ‘big’ things that take place in this little book and ask what the BIGGEST thing is.

In this episode we talk pack some of the key themes from the story of Nehemiah’s heart being broken for a broken city and a broken people. Looking at how we can pay attention to to what it is we’re building and how we can protect and defend it.

In the episode we look at how the book of Job’s mystery & ambiguity help us to access the themes on the story and attach them to OUR stories. Job isn’t here to answer the “why do bad things happen to good people?” question, so WHY is it in the Hebrew Bible?

In this episode we look (again) at one of the prophet, Elisha’s, ‘snapshot’ stories. Asking “What’s THIS all about?” and “How does this apply to me and my life?”
