There is a clear distinction between the three persons of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is a person and He is eternal, omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent. He is not merely and influence or a power or an illumination but He is a person, just as real as God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son. If we think of the Holy Spirit as merely a power or influence, our thought will be, “How can I get more of the Holy Spirit?” But if we think of Him in the Biblical way as a divine person, our thought will instead be, “How can the Holy Spirit have more of me?”
