All of us are called to a life of making disciples, but this is often easier said than done. Join us as we look at practical ways we can minister to others, right where we already are!

Our villains for this week are the Pharisees. The Pharisees began as a group that desired to bring God's Word to the people. Yet, their blindness to who God is grew into a corrupt system. As Emily dives into Mark 8, it becomes clear that blindness is in all of us. Redemption from our blindness comes when we surrender to Jesus and allow him to help us see.

What is a blind spot in your life? How is Jesus inviting you to surrender?

Message Delivered: 1/28/24

Am I called to ministry? This is a question many of you have wrestled with this past semester. All of us are called to minister to others, yet some of us are called to do this within the local church. Join us as we look at what it means to be called to pastor in the local church, and stay tuned next week as we dig into everyone's call to minister where they are.

In our new series, Villains of the Bible, we're looking at real people who make real mistakes. Brennen opens our series with looking at Judas, a disciple of Jesus who sold him out. Yet, even in Judas' incredible act of betrayal, God still brings beauty from brokenness.

Have you ever been disappointed by Jesus or the Church? How can you bring your disappointment to God?

Message Delivered: 1/21/24

The New Year is here and so are countless goals that we have set for ourselves. Join us as we look at the ways we can create God glorifying goals for 2024.

In our first episode back, we are looking at how we can face the challenges of forging and keeping our community. Whether you've moved, transitioned in and out of school, or navigating conflict, we'll look at some practical ways to keep and invite more people into our circles.

In our first Oasis of 2024, we get to hear from our dear friend, Jake Thurston! Jake looks at the very beginning of the Sermon on the Mount to examine how the Kingdom of God views blessedness. In God's kingdom, blessedness isn't about immediate relief from our circumstances, but what God can do through those circumstances.

What is an area of your life where you don't feel blessed? How is Christ making you good through your unblessedness?

Message Delivered: 1/8/24

Emily wraps up our final Oasis of the year with a look at the Christmas story. In Luke 2, the angels are worshipping God because he is entering the middle of the story, he is entering the mess of humanity. Our response to this news, is to behold, and take notice of what God is doing.

What does it mean to behold? How can you behold God's faithfulness?

Message Delivered: 12/10/23

In the last week of our series, Dear Father, Brennen lands the plane by looking at David's coronation. Rather than entering as a king, David enters as a humble and lowly servant, whose aim is to bring prayer back to the people of God.

How does David's coronation exalt God rather than himself? What rhythms/habits/practices do we need to keep prayer at the center of our life?

Message Delivered: 12/3/23

Ben walks us through the heart, soul, mind, and strength of intercessory prayer. Intercessory prayer is founded on love and is based on our understanding that we can't, but God can. Ben challenges us to see how the greatest act of intercession is praying for the lost to be saved.

Do you believe your prayers matter? How can we pray for the lost with courage and boldness?

Message Delivered: 11/26/23
