Joshua was entering into a path all together new, unknown and unwritten a path that he had never taken before.  In order for us to walk an untrodden path we must leave our comfort zone do the unexpected and trust God to lead us to victory.

Don't look for people to applaud you for what you do. Critics will cause you not to be obedient to your assignment. If you need their acceptance in what God has called you to do you might as well throw in the towel.

Whenever God gives us an assignment there will always be those who come along to distract us. Losing our focus is spending valuable time energy and resources on things that has nothing to do with our destiny, dreams, goals or vision.

Many years ago I was at my lowest state in life divorced, angry, bitter and struggling to raise four children. In my lack of understanding and my lack of knowledge I couldn't help but wonder why would a Holy God choose someone like me to serve Him?

Farmers do not spend their money, time, hard work in planting and raising grape vines just to look at pretty leaves. Jesus said “without Him we can do nothing”. If we are disconnected in our relationship with Jesus we will walk around this earth representing pretty leaves and not producing fruit.

We must believe that the moral standards that we have instilled in our children no matter how old they are will take root and grow into a plant that gives life wherever they are planted.

God is provoked to jealousy when our worship is given to someone or something else. Our worship rightfully belongs to God and not to things that have no eternal value.
