Matthew 5:33-37. Anoj Joseph continues our Real Deal series by considering Jesus' teaching on oaths. While this may be odd to our ears, Jesus reminds the hearer that we are prone to putting different weights on different promises. Jesus wants us to treat all of our promises as something we intend to keep. Our word should be our bond - and the way we treat the words we speak reflects the heart within us.
