JoAnn Kathryn Scharf, born on August 31, 1931, in Colome, South Dakota, to James and Helen (Smith) Janak, passed away December 31, 2025. She was a graduate of Cedar Bluffs High School, Class of 1949, and was united in marriage to William A. Scharf that same year.

Margaret D. Hunsche, 96, formerly of Rising City, died Thursday, December 25, 2025 at the Butler County Health Care Center in David City.

Margaret's wish was to be cremated, no services will be held at this time.

Delwayne Pavel was born May 2, 1940, in Columbus, Nebraska, to Emil and Mayme (Dostal) Pavel.

Bob Hovorka, age 70 of Shakopee, Minnesota,  passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.

On May 3, 1955, Bob was born to parents Jack and Mary Alice (Healy) Hovorka. Along with his siblings, Bob grew up in Schuyler, NE. After high school, Bob went on to graduate from Kearney State College in Kearney, NE.

In 1988, Bob met Bonnie (Uphoff) at work.
