Today y'all get a story local-ish to me. To be local, though, the word is fairly widespread about the curse of Lake Lanier thanks to Tiktok. Many people are afraid to even get near the lake due to all the lives it claims.

Claims that some people have been pulled and held underwater is pretty terrifying.

St. Albans Sanatorium in Radford, Virginia is convincingly haunted. For really real haunted. You know I love finding a book that lets me deep dive into the researched location, so I really dug into this one and some of the real experiences people have had.

Experiences vary with shadow people, tons of great EVPs, spirit box sessions that seem too spot on to be coincidental, dark entities, something called "the creeper", etc. As always, the more people that report occurrences the more convincing it is for me.

Well y'all, here they are. It feels kinda exposing to be rattling off all my paranormal stories in quick succession, but, I'm happy I did it. In 2012 Zachary Davis, believed to be an aspiring serial killer from Hendersonville, Tennessee, committed a horrific murder. He isn't called The Sledgehammer Killer for no reason, and I do think he aspired and was possibly on his way to being an Appalachian serial killer. I recommend if you're anything but a hard-seasoned, true crime fanatic, you check out the content warnings for this one before listening.

The alien abduction of Betty and Barney Hill is the pioneer extraterrestrial story for the United States, and Appalachia. While almost certainly there had been otherworldly experiences prior to this one, this is the story that really put aliens on our radar, so to speak.

Interesting this one takes place in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, known for being extremely rugged. Typically you hear a lot of desert alien encounter stories... Perhaps just because visibility is better? Anyhow, this one was a lot of run to research, so I hope y'all enjoy!
