  • 1764: How Sales Lead Management Software is Breaking from CRM
It was just a matter of time before CRM Software took another hit with the breakoff of Sales Lead Management as a separate platform. This program is offered as a replay from CRM Radio’s show of January 23, 2020, where CRM Host Paul Petersen and Sales Lead Management Association founder, Jim Obermayer, discuss the modern definition of Sales Lead Management, how some companies are separating themselves from being defined as just CRM solutions and what salespeople expect from marketing and sales management.

They discuss the crowded fields of CRM, Marketing Automation, ABM, and the resurrected field of sales lead management.  Obermayer is also the President of the Funnel Media Group an internet radio and podcast production agency for B2B companies.

Paul Petersen is the Vice President and General Manager for GoldMine CRM and is the host of CRM Radio.

  • 1763: Why is it so hard to talk about food?
Food is one of the few universal concepts that connects every living thing—we all eat. So why is the discussion about food, including how it’s produced, how it’s accessed and purchased, and how it’s consumed such a contentious debate? From genetically modified organisms to farm subsidies to local foods to food stamps, there is no shortage of hotly-contested subject matter in the food space. In this podcast, we’ll discuss where sticking points remain, what common ground exists, and where both the public and private sector are making strides to improve the conversation.

    About Partrick Delaney

Patrick Delaney has spent the last 13 years talking about food and agriculture, across the agency, trade association, and legislative spaces. As a young public relations practitioner, he worked on campaigns for consumer-facing heritage brands at Unilever, Procter & Gamble, M&M/Mars and Campbell’s. He then spent ten years as spokesman for organizations representing the fresh fruit and vegetable industry, as well as the nation’s soybean farmers, working on public affairs communications on issues ranging from food safety and nutrition to trade, immigration and infrastructure. During that time, he received his master’s in IMC from West Virginia. He now directs the communications for the House Committee on Agriculture in Washington.

  • 1762: How ABM is Evolving: New Best Practices and Pitfalls
In this week's episode, "How ABM is Evolving: New Best Practices and Pitfalls" I talk with Nani Shaffer, Senior Director, Demand Generation & Operations at Demandbase

Demandbase is synonymous with account based marketing. They have done a ton over the years to really develop the definition of account based marketing to really set some benchmarks and drive a lot of great thought leadership around it. The concept of ABM has been around now for at least three, four plus years. Demandbase has been involved in this category now for a long time as well.

In this episode, I ask Nani:

How she has seen ABM evolve?

What is ABM here at the beginning of 2020?

Can a company's marketing be applied to any target?

Do you think for companies that continue to go down this maturity curve  this won't be a separate effort, that this will just evolve into the sort of table stakes of how companies market to their targets?

What sales role is in driving effective ABM programs and what does it take to get a sales organization aligned with the marketing efforts to create a truly integrated ABM approach?

What are some key lessons you've learned about what it takes to take this great idea and actually land it? (how does it work on Tuesday?)

How do you make this not just a campaign but a culture change?

What are some things you've learned that are key to making that work?

    And lots more!

Listen in now or read the entire conversation on the Heinz Marketing blog starting Mon. 2/3 6am PST.
