The Mixed Reality Workshop (TMRW) and Pan Macmillan are proud to present Occupying the Fatuous State of Severity, a mixed reality exhibition made possible by the British Council. A project responding to novelist Phumlani Pikoli’s debut collection of short stories that probe mental illness in South Africa.
Pikoli’s book, The Fatuous State of Severity, described in the Mail & Guardian as “a palpable search for the self” has been re-imagined by a collection of South African artists who have worked to bring the stories to life in various mediums including Augmented Reality paintings,
