Serious concern has been raised over waiting lists at Sligo University Hospital.
New figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show that almost 1,500 people have been waiting over 18 months for treatment in Sligo.
The figure includes 124 children.
Meanwhile, new targets were set out earlier this year to cut waiting lists in Sligo and elsewhere.
The North West and other health regions also have to develop a Regional Waiting List Action Plan, to show how the national targets can be delivered in their areas.
