Andy Luchies, father of 8 (so far), is an ex-military infantry veteran who fought in the Iraqi war in 2003. After marrying the small-town girl he met in 4th grade, he picked up a theology degree at Redeemer University before dropping out of seminary because “God told me to.” He was a pastor, elder, and men’s group leader before stepping back from paid ministry in 2019. He’s been a small business entrepreneur for 17 years who loves to share how he lost a PILE of money in many ways, but remains blessed by God.

Jenn’s life was transformed in her early 30s when she came to Christ. Once vowing to “never homeschool,” she has now dedicated 17 years to home education. Blending her Recreation degree with a passion for sport, Jenn founded the ENRCH sports program. Married to Laurence for 26 years with four children and two grandkids (one more on the way), Jenn’s career now centers on faith and athletics. In 2024, she began work with CCEM, championing Christ-centered education in Canada. Jenn also serves as Assistant Coach for the Redeemer University women’s basketball team, bridging her love for Christ and for sport.

What should home-educated students and their parents expect while navigating the critical transition from high school to university? This session will identify key expectations and essential skills needed for a successful post-secondary education experience. You’ll also be provided with practical steps to help demystify the university admission process, including home-educated success metrics, a survey of typical entrance requirements, and an overview of the application process. You’ll leave with greater confidence in how to transition from home-education to university well.

Meghan Taylor currently serves as the Associate Vice President, Enrolment at Redeemer University. Throughout her career, Meghan has been passionate about university access and providing a positive student experience at Christian universities in North America. Meghan holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Process Management (Houghton University, 2020) and Leadership Development for Enrolment Professionals certification (NACCAP, 2021).

Dr. Peter Neumann is the Vice President, Academic at Redeemer University. He holds a PhD in theology and has been involved in post-secondary Christian education in both faculty and administrative roles for 25 years. He also served for 11 years on pastoral staffs in Richmond Hill and Markham. He is married to Sharon (32 years!), and has two young adult children, Nathanael and Mikayla, and two mostly well-behaved dogs.

Mark is a follower of Jesus, a husband to his amazing wife Beth, a father to four children: Reese, Lincoln, Maddox and Finnley and a pastor at Kingsway Church. Mark and Beth were both homeschooled for a portion of their childhood and they have homeschooled their children for the entirety of their education so far. Together, they started a Charlotte Mason based cooperative school at their church a few years ago and love to see children and parents develop a love for learning. In his “spare time”, Mark enjoys life on his little homestead growing fruit and vegetables, keeping bees, tending chickens and raising a fold of Scottish Highland coos.

They live on a farm in Niagara where they run their family business, teaching the endangered craft of stained glass and fused glass all year round. God has used everything from the business to homeschooling to puppies to marriage and kids to continue the work of sanctification, in not just her life, but in her whole family. Her favourite thing is to meet with younger moms and encourage them in their spiritual journey.
