When Israel launches a ground offensive against Hamas in Gaza what are the greatest challenges/obstacles the IDF will face? - Should a wider war break out with Hezbollah engaging Israel from Lebanon to the north and possibly Syria with Israel fighting on at least three fronts what are the most likely scenarios? And as powerful as the IDF is can it engage successfully on three fronts simultaneously (and perhaps more)?

Would the U.S. and perhaps other Israel allies respond with boots on the ground support?
