  • Jesus teaches the crowd gathered at the temple concluding their observance of the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Shelters.
  • In the crowd, there are those who believe Jesus and those who don’t.
  • Jesus exposes the people’s main problem: they have created an imaginary god and called him Yahweh.
  • Jesus sends a group of 72 into the harvest field like He sent the disciples earlier. He teaches them that although kingdom work is rewarding, they should rejoice in their eternal reward.
  • Jesus defines for an expert in the law what the law he has studies actually means.
  • The disciples want to learn how to pray. Jesus teaches our need in the discipline of prayer.
