Sour grapes 源自《伊索寓言》Aesop's fables。

Aesop 伊索，伊索是公元前6世纪古希腊的一个非常有智慧的寓言家，传说他是萨摩斯岛上的奴隶，流传到现在的很多动物寓言都是和伊索有关。

Sour grapes 来自于《伊索寓言》里《狐狸与葡萄》The Fox and the Grapes 这一篇。

下面我来说一小小段话，大家听听看是什么意思。先解释两个词：

the entrance exam 入学考试（entrance 进入，入口；exam 考试）

college 大学，学院

When she failed the entrance exam, she started saying that she never wanted to go to college anyway, but I think that's just sour grapes.

But I think that's just sour grapes.
