could

We often use could to make suggestions.
我们经常使用带有could 来提出建议。

使用 could 的建议（句子）语气有一些是中性的，有一些语气是很强的（strong）。

Could 的否定形式是 couldn't。
Couldn't 的语气比 could 要更强。（Couldn't is stronger than could.）

① 用could的建议 [中性]
A: I have nothing to wear to the party.
B: You could wear your red dress and your black shoes.
A: 我没有去派对的衣服。
B: 你可以穿你的红裙子和黑鞋。
have nothing to wear 没什么可穿的
have nothing to eat 没什么可吃的
have nothing to do 没什么可做（干）的
have nothing to read 没什么可读的

② 用couldn't建议 [强语气]
A: I need to finish this essay by tonight.
B: Couldn't you get up early in the morning to finish it?
A: 我必须在今晚之前完成这篇论文。
B: 你就不能早点起来做吗？/ 你就不能早点起床把它做完吗？
