你能帮助我吗？

表示询问时常用到can的情况：

- 要某个东西/询问某个事物（to ask for something）

- 询问我们能否做某事（请求允许或同意）（to ask to do something）

- 请别人为我们某事（to ask other people to do things for us）

当请别人做什么时，常在后面加上 please，表示客气与礼貌：

Can you get me the menu, please? 

请把菜单给我好吗？

Can you tell me the time, please? 

请告诉我时间好吗？
